Who We Are

The Session serves as the governing body of Capital Presbyterian Church as it does within all churches conforming to the  Presbyterian form of government. At Capital the Session is comprised of eight Ruling Elders who are elected by the congregation via the Church Nominating Committee upon ordination and installation and serve three-year terms.

What WE Do

Session meets on the second Thursday evening of each month. As a board, the Session is responsible for discerning God’s will as they govern the congregation and carry out that discernment.

All church ministries are led by the Session, which meet on the first Thursday evening of each month.
